Larry Richmond, the Co-Chairman of the SHOF Website Committee, has served on the Board of Directors for the Songwriters Hall of Fame since 1984.
He is the President of The Richmond Organization (TRO) and has held this position for the past 15 years. TRO, and its international affiliate Essex Music Group, exist today as one of the last major independent music publishers in the world.
Through its long dedication to songwriters and artists alike, The Richmond Organization has helped foster the careers of songwriters and recording artists like Black Sabbath, The Who, Pink Floyd, Justin Hayward and the Moody Blues, Pete Seeger, Huddie Ledbetter, Woody Guthrie and many more. The TRO catalog also contains a great range of popular standards such as "Fly Me To The Moon", "Dream A Little Dream", "Only You", "I Believe", "A Guy Is A Guy", "Band Of Gold", "September Song" and "I'll Be Around". TRO's Muscadet Productions also works with the Master Recordings of Joe Cocker, T Rex, Procol Harum and others.
Mr. Richmond is on the Board of Directors for the Songwriters Hall of Fame and National Academy of Popular Music (NAPM). He is a Member of American Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) and the National Music Publishers Association (NMPA).
